Herbert J. Kaiser III – Owner
Herb Kaiser founded Kaiser Tree Preservation Company in 1974. The beginnings of KTPC were not very glamorous….a pickup truck and a ladder. Soon thereafter, Herb was able to buy a bucket truck and a chipper, and began employing a few men.
Herb always worked towards differentiating his business from other tree services by focusing on the finer points of tree care, as opposed to just being a “tree cutter”. He learned to take special care when pruning trees and learned the process of cabling trees for increased support. In the early 80’s, Herb led the fight against the Gypsy Moth Caterpillar infestation which killed thousands of trees in Rhode Island.
Herb has always been active in the Rhode Island Landscape and Nurserymen’s Association (RINLA). In 1985, he was named as the President of RINLA.
Ames Kaiser – Owner
Ames Kaiser’s career as an arborist started fairly early in life, as he was put to work dragging brush in his early teens. At the age of 15, he learned the skills of tree climbing and tree pruning from his father Herb, and tree work has been in his blood from then on. Ames now co-owns KTPC with his father, and continues to guide the company in the direction of expert arboriculture, and excellent customer service.
